With only a short amount of time including afternoon, night and dawn, I have enough to feel the charm of a small town in beautiful Slovenia.

If it comes to Slovenia, my first impression as well as many tourists is the suburbs, all sides of the landscape is attractive blue and purple patches. Here, you can see clearly many landscapes in the Alps (stretching from Austria to France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia and Liechtenstein).
55km northwest of Slovenia's capital Ljubljana, along the freeway towards the Alps, I had an experience from Hungary to Croatia and then back to this beautiful land in just a few short days.
Slovenia, the tiny country, is often overlooked because of its more famous "neighbors" like Switzerland, Germany, France and Italy

. However, that is why this place still retains the wild natural beauty, not altered by the development of tourism.
Villages on the mountainside in the late autumn mist in Southern Europe glimpse the top of the church and the shadow of the castle on the hill, the clear blue stream winding, making the landscape picturesque. The houses with red, yellow and gray roofs mixed together appear familiar but still bear their own mark on an Eastern European country
Where I stop is an old town called Bled.



There is a deserted market here, specializing in selling souvenirs, fashion and a variety of vegetables and fruits.
Indigenous people do not go to this market to buy and sell food because it mainly serves tourists.
There are also chains of love locks in the market like in many other countries. Many tourists come here also buy a lock and write letters to hang again to mark their arrival in this beautiful country.

It is like a gentle princess lying in the embrace of the Alps.
Visitors to Lake Bled can board a wooden boat that moves towards the small island where the church and bell tower is located over 600 years old. Surrounding the green colors of plants, villas, and paddles are silhouetted against the water, creating a simple and beautiful watercolor picture.
With 65% of the area covered by forests, home to Europe's most famous Postojna cave, Lake Bled is clear and quiet in the midst of a majestic mountain. The red-roof church on Bled Island with a 55-meter-high bell tower is the iconic image of the town that was first built with Baroque architecture. The main church was built in the Pre-Romanesque style from the 9th century to the 15th century and rebuilt by the Bishop of Ljubljana in Gothic style, the most popular architecture of that time.
In addition, by the lake, there is a medieval castle climbing on the cliffs against a snowy mountain range in the clouds. The most ideal time to see Bled Lake is probably 16 hours when the sun is shining (in summer), skipping any moment is also a pity.




With just one afternoon, sleeping one night, I feel that Bled and Slovenia are very peaceful and beautiful. Over the years, the number of tourists coming here from all over the country has increased year-round, but the most is from late spring (May) to autumn (October).
