Contrary to the weather, the harsh topography of the Himalayas, Bhutan is simple and calm, from houses, people to trees.
Bhutan through the lens of Vietnamese tourists
Nguyen Nhat Vu (photo) just had a 5-day spring tour in "the happiest country in the world" Bhutan. This is his 5th trip to the highest mountain range in the Himalayas. Before that, Nhat Vu went trekking for 2 weeks in the Himalayas, 14 days exploring North India with the highest passes in the world, camping at Everest Base Camp 5,350 meters high in Tibet and living the autumn days in Pakistan. However, to him, Bhutan was a completely different experience
In his impression, human life in Bhutan was very peaceful. Since there are no traffic lights, the police are on duty to regulate at an intersection during rush hour.
Day 2, from Thimphu, Nhat Vu continues the journey to the ancient capital of Punakha, a destination not to be missed in Bhutan, nearly 3 hours from the capital Thimphu. It used to be the capital of this country until 1955. With a warm climate, Punakha is a suitable destination for visitors who want to learn about ancient Bhutan. Pictured is Punakha Dzong Happiness Palace, where the former royal residence and the high rise in winter. The palace is also the venue for the king's wedding in 2011
Two monks walked in Punakha Dzong monastery.
According to Vu, when coming to the ancient capital of Punakha, visitors can visit Chimi Lhakhang, a square monastery with a roof running only of gold.
On the 3rd day, Nhat Vu returned to Paro, continuing her journey in the valley town with many sacred destinations and historic buildings. In the photo is Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most beautiful temples in Bhutan. The main chapel here dates back to the 7th century.
He was received at the Bhutan Buddhist Institute.
Day 4, Nhat Vu went to Tiger's Nest or also called Paro Taktsang. According to him, the path here is quite easy to go, so trekking all the way from the foot of the mountain, but there are steep slopes, making the journey take about 3 hours. "The Bhutanese believe this is their devotion to Buddha and Padmasambhava," said Vu.
However, visitors, especially the elderly, can ride horse to the monastery.
In the impression of Nhat Vu, the monastery is perched on a limestone cliff, amidst the clouds floating down the Paro valley. At an altitude of more than 3,000 meters, from a distance, the monastery looks majestic and majestic. The monastery consists of 4 main palaces and 8 surrounding caves. However, there are only 4 caves for visitors. Besides, there is also the residential area of the people, like carved into a cliff. For ease of movement, people have built steps, paved paths and wooden bridges connecting the monastery's palaces.
The last day, Nhat Vu returned from Paro airport to Vietnam.
At the end of the trip, what he missed most was the story of people's lives. Here, kings focused on balancing economic development, social development, environmental protection and culture. In Bhutan, the national happiness index GNH is focused. This is how they track people's satisfaction with life. All medical and educational expenses are free. The country's constitution stipulates that 60% of the territory is forested.
Bhutan is considered "the Kingdom of pure Buddhism". Most of the people here believe in the law of cause and effect.
They think that if they live well, the next life will be useful. Food in the kingdom is always frugal and good for health. Mr. Vu said that is the key for people to live happily every day.
