The 1,600 m high mountain range is famous in part thanks to the legend of Truong Tam Phong, the head of the Vo Dang sect. Thanks to his smarter nature, Truong Tam Phong is said to use Shaolin martial arts to create a new kind of martial art, the famous Tai chi Than Cong, and build the Vo Dang sect.

Cheng and his friends went to Wudang Mountain on a very sunny day, when the sun was at its peak. Instead of riding the cable car, Cheng prefers to climb to the top of the mountain to admire the majestic beauty of this famous place.
The road to the mountain is very crowded. From time to time, Cheng Ye's group would see a Taoist in a bun, dressed in blue clothes, walking lightly like pink hair and fast like the wind. That makes Cheng Ye feel the Taoist masters are as if they are walking on the street, not as hard as a mountain climber.
Before the guests could see the priests clearly, they disappeared into a nearby temple. Cheng wondered if he had just met the legendary Tai Chi masters or characters that could only be seen in Jackie Chan's martial arts films

The largest and most famous temple on Vo Dang mountain is Zixiao Palace, also known as Dien Tu Van, meaning purple clouds. Every day, thousands of Tai Chi fans stop in front of the walls in the temple to admire the martial art's series of martial arts paintings. The large front yard is also a place for masters to practice martial arts.
The most popular attraction is Kim Dien, built in 1416 atop Tianzhu, the highest point in the Vo Dang range. This is one of the largest ancient structures built with gold and copper in China. Many visitors even ignore most of the other works to spend time climbing straight to the top from the previous evening to watch the sunrise.
Depending on the preferences of each traveler, a mountain tour can take place either day or day.



There are many restaurants serving tourists the specialties of Vo Dang mountain including mountain chicken, fresh bamboo shoots and Thai Tai Quyen soup cooked from green vegetables, tofu.
If you only need sightseeing, you can take the cable car both ways and spend a day in the mountains. The main historical sites to visit include Kim Dien; Nam Nham scenic area is located on the mountainside, with many other notable architectures such as Nam Nham Cung, Tu Tieu Cung, Lang Mai Tien Temple…; scenic gardens Phuc Tho Khang Ninh, Huyen Nhac Mon ...
Some hotels on the mountain have martial arts classes by hour. Every year, lots of Chinese tourists and foreigners come here to learn martial arts. However, locals believe that tourists should spend at least two days exploring all this landscape and climbing mountains, instead of sitting on the cable car.




Tickets to visit the mountain cost about 250 yuan (nearly 850,000 VND), including entrance tickets, sightseeing bus tickets and insurance. Time to visit from 8am to 5pm. If you stay in the mountains overnight, you do not need to buy another ticket for the next day. At some points, you also have to buy a separate entry ticket like the Zixiao Electric 15 yuan (50,000 VND). Cable car tickets in peak season will be more expensive, ranging from 70 to 90 yuan (240,000 VND - 300,000 VND).
When visiting temples, visitors should not point at the statues, do not ask the Taoists about their age or hometown. In addition to the roads built to serve tourists, there are also a number of small paths. Ideally, you should stay away from those aisles for less safety.



You also need to bring a jacket because at night the temperatures are low in the mountains. Visitors are also advised not to smoke in scenic areas.
The best time to visit is from March to May, from September to early November. In spring, there is a temple fair held on March 3 of the lunar calendar. This is an opportunity for visitors to experience the local culture. In autumn, you can join the Vo Dang International Tourism Festival.
