The disappearing and then appearing island phenomenon originates from the Ma Dao Khe River located in the Tam Hiep reservoir area. The water level here is controlled by the Three Gorges Dam, one of the largest power plants in the world by installed capacity. Therefore, in the spring, the dam reservoirs will discharge water downstream, causing the river level to drop and you can see this giant "turtle".

However, Green Lake is a natural phenomenon, while Turtle Island appears dependent on human hands.
