Many sculptural details in Hoysaleswara Temple are polished, with an impressive uniformity that many experts believe that it is the product of a lathe.

Hoysaleswara Temple located in Halebidu town, Karnataka state, southwestern India is considered to be the most iconic and exemplary architectural complex of the Hoysala dynasty (1000-1346) remaining so far. The Hindu shrine of Shiva has an east-facing main entrance, while the tourist entrance is located on the north gate. The temple was built from 1121 to 1160, under King Vishnuvardhana Hoysaleshwara. What is most surprising to tourists are the stone pillars in the temple. The cow statue in the temple is smaller in the architectural complex. These two works are the 6th and 7th largest among Indian monoliths and topped the table in terms of beauty, sophistication and luster.
