Our journey started with a 1:30 am flight to Dubai. After 5 hours of transit here, you will fly directly to Nairobi (Kenya Capital). Arriving at Jomo Kenyatta airport, the weather is quite cool and pleasant. For those who do not know, the weather in Kenya in four seasons is like Dalat. Therefore, you should bring your jacket and prepare your clothes in a "rolling" fashion so that you can change quickly when hot.
The road from the airport to the hotel was quite bad, there were very bumpy roads so when we arrived, the group was really tired. But waking up the next morning was a steadily increasing sense of eagerness Just open the window to look out on the lawn and you will see giraffes and zebras running on the grounds of the hotel!
The first morning, the group got on the bus to Naivasha Lake - a freshwater lake located in the Rift valley of Kenya, with an area of 250km2, a depth of about 15m.



This is the paradise of hippos, rhinos and about 350 species of bird nesting along the shore of the lake. You will be quite excited to see so many hippos gathered in schools in the lake. However, remember to be absolutely silent when approaching your hippopotamus because if you make any noise they may attack you.

After that, we continued to move to Maasai Mara. This is the largest National Nature Reserve in Kenya with an area of about 1512 square kilometers. The name of this reserve is meant to honor the Maasai (ancestral people of the area) and describe the reserve from a distance. Because, the word "Mara" in the Maasai language means "spot" - reminiscent of the image of bushes and clouds on the grasslands here.
Maasai Mara is home to the world's most diverse wildlife.



This reserve is famous all over the world for its significant number of Masai lions (also known as East African lions), African leopards and Tanzania cheetahs. In particular, coming here you will witness firsthand the migration of zebras, Thomson antelopes or wildebeests to and from the Serengeti grassland. This is also the reason why we go to Kenya. The sight of migratory animals is really impressive. Moreover, the experience of sitting "stalking" all day just to capture the migratory landscape is also very "strange".
In the next few days, we continued to move by Landruiser to Nationwide. This is the private farm of a British couple built when they decided to stop for the rest of their lives in Kenya. Half a century later, that private house turned into a large, historic hotel but still retains the tranquility of the previous century, with British-style architecture.




Our last stop was at Lamu Island. Learning about Lamu, I learned that this is the oldest ancient city in Kenya, located on the east coast of Africa, near the Somali border. This is a place with a rather mysterious and charming history with its winding medieval streets.
Lamu's architecture is relatively classical, with European, Arab and Indian influences. The path on the island is quite narrow and modern means cannot be found. Here, donkeys are used as a heavy transport vehicle. It seems that that is the reason why the noisy and bustling life of a prosperous city cannot penetrate here.
