I thought Sri Lanka was a miniature India, because looking at the photos, the people and the scene in the two countries were all the same. But I realized that if I want to judge somewhere, I must see with my own eyes

There is currently no direct flight from Vietnam to Sri Lanka, so visitors must transit in a third country.

Before the departure date, I have prepared a bank statement to confirm the savings book, 2-way air ticket; hotel in Sri Lanka, application for leave, payroll, ETA confirmation, and cash to bring, so the customs did not ask much, stamped me on my entry.
I stayed in the capital Colombo for 2 days. To experience Sri Lankan life, I book a room in a house with the local people. On the third day, we went to Nuwara Aliya, 6 hours by bus from the capital Colombo, to buy tickets at the bus station. Nuwara Aliya is like Dalat of Vietnam, the air is chilly, the tea hills stretches.



Mentioning Sri Lanka is referring to countless famous teas. I enjoy tea cooked with fresh milk every day and almost anywhere.
At Nuwara Aliya, we chose to stay in a room with Uncle JP's family, on a high hill overlooking the city. Uncle JP has been in the homestay industry for a long time. The room is spacious, the host is very hospitable and the breakfast is completely free prepared by the host.

Coming to Nuwara Aliya, you can visit the waterfall, the town center, the church and especially the Pedro tea factory. At the tea factory, you will visit the steps to make a tea package.
Two days here, we are determined to be loyal to Pub & Restaurant because there are so many options for dishes and perfectly reasonable prices.

Night in Kandy
Leaving Nuwara Aliya, we arrived in Kandy by bus. Travel time is about 2 hours and tickets are purchased at the station.
We booked 1 room at Kandy Hill Bungalow with the price of more than 1 million VND / night. This hotel is located on a mountain top. worth to compensate for its minus points.
We decided to rent a tuk tuk car with a package price for a day, which is cheaper than each stage. Some places you can visit in Kandy are not to mention the botanical garden, Kandy lake, tea factory.
Sri Lanka is inherently a Buddhist land, so those who love spiritual culture and history can visit Ancient Senkadagala Kingdom, Kandyan cultural center, Dalada Maligawa temple (Buddha tooth temple).

Our next destination is Bentota - the famous coastal city.
