I wanted to enter the place known as the "suicide forest" by myself, partly because I wanted to go to places that are considered "barriers" by traditional Japanese tourists, partly because I was too impressed with the movie The Forest. I also want to check the rumors about "yurei" - ghosts of the dead in this forest.
Each other, the yurei create hallucinations, lure those into the forest to become lost, lonely, unable to find a way home, always in a state of confusion, negativity, and the decision to end the end. living For those who can find light, the yurei will cling to their backs, and follow them back home.




There is no sound other than the rustling of my footsteps on the leaves. The deeper you go, the more the space is smoked, everywhere are wooden boards advising people to commit suicide.

I reached out to remove Gopro from my shirt when it was turned off, even though I had fully charged the battery before going into the woods.
I sat down on a tree stump, among tens of thousands of trees rising to the ground. It is said that the trees in this forest could be the dwelling place of yurei. However, in my mind at that time only the people who have come here to end life.

I don't know how long I've been gone, but looking up at the sky is already dark. My body is hot and cold sometimes. I hurriedly put my backpack running back up the lead of the pink ribbon. The darkness approached so quickly, I feared that I would not see anything in this murky forest.




Luckily, I ran out of the forest before the sky went black, to the bus stop with no strength left. The clock was at 17 o'clock - the last trip of the bus to return, but I had to sit there for more than half an hour before the car arrived, amid the harsh cold and still perspiring.
I climbed on the bus, exhausted, and noticed a few Japanese people sitting on the bus staring at me. But right now I just felt like I needed a nap. I woke up when a man woke me up for going to the station.
