David Tesinsky is a photographer from Prague, Czech Republic. He works independently, mainly looking for street stories and urban culture. Tesinsky's set of photographs of the Parisian homeless expresses his distinct point of view: "You aim your eyes from the top of the Eiffel Tower to the ground and realize that the city is more than just romance."

An average of 480 homeless people are thought to have died on the streets of France each year but the actual figure is estimated to be six times higher, according to Culturetrip.

Under increasing pressure from the community, the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, has been conducting a survey on the city's homeless population since February 15.




Paris struggles with this problem more harder than other European cities.
At least 3,000 people live on the streets of Paris, according to data from this year's investigation, France's Local newspaper cited. However, many newspapers believe that this number is not accurate.
Visitors are often shocked to witness the plight of people in some parts of the capital. Beggars across metro stations and migrant tents are located along the canal of Saint-Martin.
French President, Emmanuel Macron, in July last year promised to end this situation across France by the end of 2017.

In 2016, the Le Carillon project was implemented in district 11 of Paris and inspired a positive change.
