What to prepare before the trip?
According to Tran Dang Dang Khoa, to make a trip like this, first of all you need a lot of experience in traveling by motorbike. Before leaving, he spent a lot of time reading books, researching maps, learning about destinations to plan the most specifically. Dang Khoa spent 2 years preparing.
With the trip through many countries, many types of terrain and climate, from the desert to European countries, Dang Khoa has to bring a lot of furniture. In particular, countries in Southeast Asia exempted visas for Vietnamese people, some countries issued Visa on arrival (issued on arrival, without prior application) or eVisa (electronic Visa). He applied in advance for Schengen Visa for 26 Schengen countries in Europe, so entering these countries becomes easier and more convenient. Therefore, in fact, before going, he only applied for 3 visas from India, Pakistan and Schengen (Iran Visa is applied while in Pakistan).

Carrying a motorbike through easy or difficult countries?
To bring his motorbike through the border gates, Dang Khoa said that he brought 2 international driving licenses (one issued by Vietnam and one issued by the US), registered with the vehicle and Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD). According to him, vehicle registration in Vietnam has English words so it is more convenient. However, only recording the vehicle type (Wave) instead of the car manufacturer (Honda) made him spend a lot of time explaining at the border.

Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD) is the paper that makes Dang Khoa spend the most time, effort and money. It took him 2 years to research and ask for information to get this kind of paper.
