The great Belarusian National War of Defense Museum is the world's first museum of the deadliest war of the 20th century and the only museum built during the Nazi period.

Today, it is one of the most important and largest war museums in the world, along with other war museums in Moscow, Kiev and New Orleans.
The Great Patriotic War Museum has 142,676 artifacts divided into 28 themes in 10 main galleries as follows:

General information
The Great Patriotic War Museum is at 8 Pobeditelei Avenue, downtown Minsk. The museum is open from 10:00 am to 18:00 pm from Tuesday to Sunday, closed on Mondays and national holidays. The museum is open free of charge on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
Guests can book group tours of the museum, up to a maximum of 25 people.
The museum offers commentary guides in Russian, Belarusian, and English.You can get to the museum by taking bus 1, 29, 44, 69, 73, 91, 136, 163 from Muzey Velikoy Otechestvennoy Voyny station.
