Shizuoka: Peaceful Countryside In The Land Of The Rising Sun
We decided to go on a single trip to Tokyo. When she arrived, my friend suddenly changed her mind. Instead of exploring the big cities, she invited me to Shizuoka.

‘Modern big cities you've seen a lot, newspapers and television are full. He has to return to rural Japan to confess! ', Then you are both a consultant and a decider

Shizouka - peaceful town
Shizouka Prefecture is located between Tokyo and Nagoya. It takes about 1
The train goes fast but very smooth, maybe even quieter than the plane so the whole long journey takes only a little.
My friend's friend Yasu picked us up at Tokaido station. He has studied in Vietnam for almost 2 years so he speaks Vietnamese quite well. Still, he complains that he has forgotten most of it now. The place we went was the town of Shizouka near the city of Shimoda.
Traveling to Shizouka, I was really surprised by such a peaceful town in the modern and dynamic sunrise country. Red-tiled houses are hidden among large gardens
Surrounding the house are hibiscus wooden fences that are waist-low, enough to embrace the houses but not block the view.
Every house has wooden gates hung with the name of the owner as a sign of hospitality.
The town also retains many typical Japanese wooden houses. They must have been built a long time ago because the wooden beams have discolored.
But when we look at the neatly trimmed fences, the clean gardens, the tiled roofs like wavy waves, we know the owners of those houses have taken good care of their homes.
Yasu told me, in every house here, the ancestral altar is placed in the main room in the most solemn location, below is a small stove for the elderly when winter comes.
My curiosity was satisfied when I was able to capture a photo of his altar: simple but also solemn and cozy.
When I was here, I felt like I was in my hometown because I still heard frogs cry after rain, chicken crowing light. Here, the richest thing nature offers is fresh air.
Nature has endowed this land with the most temperate climate in Japan. That's why Shizuoka is famous for being a land that grows green tea, Navel oranges and Wasabi - a type of radish that is processed with fresh food.
When traveling to Shizouka, you can imagine that every morning you can breathe in your chest the coldness of morning mist in the morning mountain air, faintly smell of orange, pungent greenery. Life is not as happy as. There is no traffic jam, no lines of people squeezing each other in the train, life here is completely "fresh" in its own right.

The most famous sight in Shizuoka is Mount Fuji. With an altitude of 3,776 meters above sea level, Mount Fuji has become a symbol of the country of the rising sun.
Conquering Mount Fuji is the dream of many people when traveling to Shizouka, but not everyone is able to do it.
So, I decided to just watch the mountain from afar and visit the nature around the foot of the mountain. Right at the foot of this mountain, there are quite a few Vietnamese people living and you can dine at the Saigon restaurant before visiting the romantic Lake Hamanako.
I also learned that Riyo Mori - former Miss Universe 2007 is also a son from this peaceful town.
Shiraito Falls at the foot of the mountain is also a very attractive place for tourists. The unique feature of this waterfall is the stream of water that plunges from a height of 20 meters down to the foot of the mountain, making it look like a stretch on the mountain range from a distance.
White water strips sweep the moss-covered cliffs at the foot of Mt.Fuji. 130m wide, this gentle waterfall creates great shade, freshness and humidity for the surrounding flora.
Horai Bridge
The next day, we went to Shizuoka's famous sight like Mount Fuji, the Horai Bridge. The 897m long bridge is made entirely of wood. The trees are assembled closely and extended together to connect the two banks of the Oi River. The bridge was built in 1879 and has been recorded on the Guinness record as the longest wooden bridge in the world.
We told each other to remove all their shoes and walk barefoot on the bridge. The feeling of each of my flesh touching the wood is wonderful. Yasu proudly told me that now this bridge has become a familiar image on Japanese screens ..

Feeling before breaking up
The days in Shizuoka were really memorable days. What stays in my mind the most are the people of Shizuoka. Different from the hustle and bustle of life in big cities, life here is slow and stops with time.
Living here, I feel like living with my childhood. There are old people here, but the old are not getting older, the children are always innocent. The Yasu family lived for four generations in the same house.
Old Yashimazu is nearly a hundred years old but still wants to walk with us to introduce.
