After a long car ride from the capital Kathmandu (Nepal), I was in time to reach Sarangkot when the sun began to set behind the famous Fish Tail mountains.

Sarangkot is a small village about 15km from Pokhara. This is a special place because you can see the panoramic view of the Pokhara valley and the peaks of the Himalayas (the section that runs through Nepal is called Annapurna).
While backpacking and walking up to the hotel on the hill, I stood still as I watched the light fade, the mountains turned white and darkened, a magical light and nice.

After walking for a while, I lay my head and looked at the starry sky and the moon, far down in the valley was Pokhara with golden dots.
Here life seems to be going very slowly and calmly At 9:00 pm, only a few hotels have lights on and the people are sleeping.



I also go to bed early to get up early tomorrow to watch the sunrise - the most looking forward to this Sarangkot.
At 4 am, I ran and walked up to the sunrise viewing area, where many people of different nationalities gathered, chatting and waiting for dawn.
At this moment, it was only a little bit of dawn, around where I stood was a sea of clouds, white mist made the space magical.
When the first rays of sunlight began to appear and spread, the Annapura mountain range seemed to be bright, brilliant and splendid, the millennial snow mountains gradually appeared arrogantly under the sun and blue sky. In less than 10 minutes, the entire Pokhara valley appeared charmingly under the brilliant golden sunlight.
In Sarangkot, there is also a paragliding service over the mountains at dawn, you will be able to fly closer to the mountain, wobbling between the vast space, witnessing the fanciful colors from pink, purple to yellow. and the whole sky and mountains lit up It was an unforgettable moment.

From the capital Kathmandu you can fly to Pokhara, flight time is only about 45 minutes, then rent a taxi to go another 15km to get to Sarangkot village. Or you can take a bus from Kathmandu to Sarangkot. However, it will take a whole day because the roads in Nepal are not good and there are frequent traffic jams.
Sarangkot has many motels and hotels with different prices, but you should choose hotels on a high hill to have a beautiful view.
From there, you walk up to the viewpoint to watch the sunrise and sunset do not lose too much time.
