From March 20, Taiwan Reopened The Quan Hong Visa Policy For Vietnam

According to the official letter of the Taiwan Tourism Board, from March 20, the Quan Hong (e-visa) visa policy will be reopened to the Vietnamese market with more tightening conditions. This territory also plans to open a tourism promotion office in Vietnam.

On March 6, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that this place has received an official letter from the Taiwan tourism agency about the re-application of Quan Hong visa for Vietnamese tourists from March 20. Under the new regulation, Quan Hong visa is only for companies on the designated list of the Taiwan Tourism Board. Thus, the number of Vietnamese tourism companies and companies designated to enjoy Quan Hong visa incentives will be screened again and less than the current number of more than 80 businesses.
Receiving application time is at least 7 working days, but now the application process takes longer so the company is encouraged to collect customer records earlier
Groups using Quan Hong visas are required to have a team leader leading through the customs, entering and leaving the same day.



In addition to the application for a visa from the travel company, it is necessary to include the name of the group leader and round-trip flight booking with the name of the group traveler.
Taiwan also requires that the delegations on the day of departure need to inform the Taiwan travel agency: the ecode number, how many guests have registered or have enough departure according to registration, or must provide the name of the guest not going to the party. Taiwan travel agencies urgently notify relevant agencies.
Accompanying tightening conditions, the Taiwan tourism agency also increased the penalty policy for violations. Accordingly, the designated travel agency that has guests staying in Taiwan after the registration date or escaping less than 3 people will be stopped receiving Quan Hong dossiers for 2 months.
If the number exceeds 6, the company is immediately removed from the list of companies designated to enjoy the offer.
In particular, the regulation also emphasizes that the designated travel agency, if it voluntarily accepts the group of companies not on the list, borrows the name, joins the group if detected, it will immediately remove the name from the list This is the situation that Vietnamese travel companies often "spleen" the most today, leading to the situation of "sharing tours", not being able to manage guests.




According to businesses, the reopening of the Quan Hong visa preferential policy will help the upcoming Taiwan summer market more vibrant. Previously, the suspension of issuing Quan Hong visas had a negative impact on the operation of genuine businesses due to the sudden decision made, close to the peak season of the Lunar New Year tourism. Businesses that received previous visitors had to "compensate" for a US $ 50 visa because the Quan Hong visa program stopped.
Along with the announcement of the re-application of Quan Hong policy, Taiwan said it was preparing to open a Taiwan Tourism Promotion Office in Vietnam.
As expected, the Taiwan Tourism Promotion Office in Vietnam will be located in Ho Chi Minh City, not only in charge of the Vietnamese market but also in Laos and Cambodia markets.
According to travel agencies, tightening the conditions for Quan Hong visas is necessary to ensure a healthy market development, avoiding the influence of Vietnamese tourists wishing to travel really.
The Quan Hong visa program has been applied by Taiwan for several years to attract more international visitors. The program allows tour groups of 5 or more people, including Vietnam, to apply for electronic visas through quality travel agencies licensed by a Taiwanese tourism agency without financial proof.
