This place belongs to Son Hai Quan, also known as Du Quan, one of the main gates of the Great Wall of China located in Hebei province, north of China The place was the easternmost of the Truong Thanh line under the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), known as "the first world in the world".

Visitors to Lao Long Dau can visit 7 main structures including the rock formations near the river mouth, the Chenghai tower, the shrine of the water god, the Jinglu lighthouse, the Nanhaikou pass, the ancient Ninghai fortress and the Binhai castle block. In which, Trung Hai tower is the most appreciated project with 2-storey structure built from brick and solid wood, like a defense arrow tower.
The ideal time to come here is from May to October, when the beach is at its best and visitors can enjoy the summer in the neighboring resorts. Opening hours to visit from 6:30 to 19:00 daily in the peak season in July and August; 8:00 - 18:00 daily from October to June next year.

Visitors can take high-speed train from Beijing to Son Hai Quan, which takes about 2-3 hours. Bus No. 25 stops at Son Hai Quan station going straight to Lao Long Dau Scenic Area (20 minutes).
