Photographer Alessandra Meniconzi traveled from his hometown of Lugano, Switzerland to Mongolia to take photos of the life and culture of local people, especially nomads. Through each picture, the female photographer tried to portray the local people's life in a genuine, profound and emotional way.

. Today, families still make these clothes and pass them on to their children and grandchildren. Mothers are usually the ones who make clothes for their children and then pass the job on to girls, and so on for the next generations.
These brightly colored clothes filled with delicate accessories are still items that have been passed down for generations Meniconzi has taken a lot of portrait photos and put together a separate album of beautiful traditional Mongolian costumes.




"I am fascinated and inspired by the wilderness, ancient cultures, as well as the lives of locals in regions isolated from the world," says Meniconzi.
One of the most colorful and original pieces of traditional Mongolian clothing is the hat. They have hundreds of hats with different styles. Hats with the Mongols not only show the wealth and age of the wearer, but also a feature of which tribe they belong.
“I never said they had to be like this for me to take pictures. I only shoot when I have time. Sometimes I just ask them to stop for a moment and I don't want to change the way they live Photography is important, but to be a part of that local family is even more important.
