Onsen And Not Boring Photography In ‘valley Of Death’

Located in Hokkaido (Japan), Noboribetsu city has only about 50,000 inhabitants, but each year welcomes over 3 million tourists. This is the leading onsen (hot spring) area in Japan providing 10,000 tons of natural hot water. One of the attractions to visit here is Jigokudani ("Valley of Death" in Japanese).
To describe Jigokudani, the people of the area had to say only one sentence, "That is the origin of Noboribetsu Onsen"

. This valley stretches over an area of 11 hectares and includes many hot springs supplying the whole region.
The name "Valley of Death" is derived from the "magical brutal" beauty of this place. The hot stream of steaming steam in the midst of the mountainous landscape will make Hokkaido tourists unforgettable
Following the wooden walkway stretching for several hundred meters, you walk to the observation platform that stops in the center of the valley.




Tessen Ike geysers in the middle of the valley. The water temperature here is up to 80 degrees Celsius. Many customers have tossed down small denominations of Japanese coins to hope to return to this place.
There are many gentle trails for you to explore the area around the valley, the shortest one is nearly 600 meters, just go within 10 minutes. When walking through the forest, you can see the valley from above.
It takes about 20 minutes from Death Valley, you will reach Oyunuma Lake with a surface temperature of up to 50 degrees. Around the lake there is a way for cars to go back and forth, approaching the water's edge

The water has a strong smell of sulfur, so you will feel some discomfort when posing here.

Starting from Oyunuma Lake, there is the Oyunumagawa River that crept through the forest. The stream of water a few hundred meters leads to an outdoor foot bath amid the rustling leaves.
Autumn (mid-October) is the best time to come here when the yellow and red leaves adorn the amazing scenery of the Valley of Death and the surrounding trails. In winter, some areas are unable to walk.
Do not forget to take pictures with the kind demons protecting the hot springs. Traveling to Hokkaido, to reach Death Valley, you can take a train or take a bus from Sapporo city to Noboribetsu, then walk 5 minutes from Noboribetsu Onsen bus station.
