Previously, the old town of Phu Dung was called Vuong Thôn. However, after the success of the movie Hibiscus Town (released in 1986), people called this place by its present name

Vuong Thon waterfall is located in the west of the ancient town with an altitude of about 60 m and a width of 40 m. The best time to see the falls is from June to August, when it is in the rainy season.
