JL McKown is an American amateur photographer. After graduating, he moved to Korea to work teaching English to children. During college, McKown used to learn the basics of photography, so when he came to Korea, he had the opportunity to show his talent with his old career.
“While living in Korea, I felt inspired to want to take the phone again

. I bought a cheap camera with lenses and wandered around the streets and nooks and crannies to capture everyday life in this place, ”he shared.

These works are almost intact and carefully preserved. Every day, Gyeongbokgung welcomes a huge number of tourists. The management also organizes a number of activities such as reenactment of feudal rituals or rental of traditional costumes to attract tourists.
