A photo contest titled "Moments of Time" commemorates the 70th anniversary of the British Parliament passed legislation establishing national parks. The contest attracted over 1,500 works. There are currently 15 national parks established in the UK, of which 10 are in England, 3 in Wales and 2 in Scotland. The first prize went to the author Kieran Metcalfe for photographing the Parkhouse hill in the Peak District park, also known as the "Back of the Dragon"

Dartmoor was established in October 1951, covers an area of 956 km2, is the largest and wildest area in the south of England.
