It was built again and only remains the facade with the present-day stone structure, becoming a tourist attraction to Macau.
The surviving facade of the church consists of four architectural floors, is a massive sculpture with statues of God, angels and demons, Chinese dragons, Japanese chrysanthemums and Portuguese boats. .
The facade was consolidated in the 1990s with pillars made of concrete and steel.
A steel staircase was erected at the back of the cathedral's facade so visitors can go up to see the rock sculptures and take in panoramic views of the city.
