Thu Phuong, Hanoi, just had a trip to Europe with a group of friends in early May and Greece is one of the stops on the journey. Here is Phuong's share of the tourist paradise island of Santorini.
The more we explore every corner of Santorini, the more surprised we are, as if enjoying a cup of tea, it will initially taste bitter, but when absorbed, it will leave the sweetness spreading from the tip of the tongue down the throat.
There are two ways to travel to Santorini, you can fly from Athens about 40-50 minutes, or take a boat from the port city of Piraeus in the Athens metropolitan area (it takes 6-8 hours)

. Blue Star Ferries train can carry up to 2,000 people per turn. I couldn't experience it because I didn't have much time, so I flew to the island.
The first impression of Santorini for me is not cliff-climbing houses, murmuring white sand, but majestic mountains, reddish brown Santorini or Thera is located in the southern Aegean Sea separating Greece and Turkey, essentially a remnant of a volcanic eruption.



Therefore, I used to dream of a poetic beach with virtual check-in living here, but before my eyes, it was a dark beach like coal slag combined with the black of pebbles.

People can pick up a few pebbles, the color according to feng shui is enough, black is main, but sometimes there is also yellow, brown, white, red ... it is rumored to be lucky.
First we passed through narrow paths to the village of Pyrgos (in Greek, castle) It is an old village, quiet, architecturally familiar with old houses covered in blue and white.



However, they are not houses nestled on the top of the mountain and overlooking the sea. On the white lime walls still imprints with the plastering of the clumsy hand of the former Greeks. I am quite disappointed because I can not find the "divine" check-in corner as often seen on the internet.
Then when I arrived at Fira village, capital of Santorini, I saw houses crouching on the top of the mountain. Viewed from above, the houses are crowded together like stairs. I walked down and stood on one side and on top of another. Accordingly, if our house can see into the neighbor's yard, similarly, the neighbor above can see into our yard.
This place is quite busy, mainly business restaurants, souvenirs, cafes, bars, luxury hotels overlooking the sea.



In the village, sometimes encounter red confetti on the white wall, mixed with romantic green doors. But there are still not many typical green-domed churches.
The green and white houses climbing on the mountainside are "specialties" of Santorini.
Heaven really lies in Oia village. The Greek name is called "ia", please pronounce it correctly to find the village. At this point, everyone seems to have to say "Oh so beautiful!". Before my eyes were pure white walled houses, green domes, sacred bell towers and crosses.
To me, Oia is the cutest village, with similarly pure white houses, but most of them have countless green and white doors.



As a new village, Oia was completely rebuilt after an earthquake in 1956.
The people on the island choose two main colors of blue and white. In addition to that reason, there are two characteristic colors of the Greek flag, the reason is also blue blending into the ocean, white softens the sun, the wind on the hilltop of the Mediterranean.
With the April sun spreading gold all the way, we continued on to the two villages of Firostefani and Megalochori. These two villages still carry the same architecture as Fira and Oia but the typical of these two places is the old white Cycladic church. Beautiful church overlooking the deep blue sea.
The more I walked deeper into the village, the more houses I saw built in the "eternal park" architecture in Vietnam. Occasionally I see an abandoned house with mossy walls.



Delegation accidentally visited a house with a cellar. People introduced its value in that it is cool in summer (20 degrees), warm in winter (30 degrees).

During our three-day tour of Santorini, we went to the top of the mountain, watched the deep blue ocean, wandered the mountainside in the early morning, and then waited for the sunset to fall on the sea surface until Santorini lights up.
Before returning to the mainland, we decided to return to Oia on our last day in Santorini, because we had "left the heart" in this place. The public transport to get to Oia is a local bus. If going from Fira, it takes about 20 minutes and 1.8 Euro.



Every 20 minutes there is a trip, very on time the bus will be present and roll.
The whole group rejoiced, waiting for the second meeting. We took the earliest trip of the day, the car switched wheels when the new sun rose out of the sea. Sunshine is still bright yellow on the mountainside. The driver here drives very "silk". Because of narrow curves, they hit the steering wheel gently like nothing.
