According to Every Culture, Persia or Iran today is a famous tourist destination with unique natural landscapes, diverse cultures and 23 UNESCO world heritage sites. As a country in West Asia, Iran possesses vast deserts, beaches and snow-capped mountains. Pasargadae Ruins: Established in the 6th century BC in the central region of Persia (present-day province of Fars, southwestern Iran), Pasargadae was the first capital of the Achaemenid empire. Persepolis Heritage: As one of Iran's first three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1979, Persepolis with the local name Takhte Jamshid was the ceremonial capital of the ancient Achaemenid empire in the 5th century BC, according to Culture Trip.
Persepolis was founded and built under the reign of Cyrus the Great, King Darius I and King Xerxes. Remnants of this ancient Persian civilization are old palaces, stone tombs, pillars and numerous reliefs depicting the lives of the peoples who once lived there. Maranjab Desert: With giant sand dunes, salt lakes and impressive night views, the Maranjab is one of Iran's most famous deserts. About 60 km northeast of Kashan city, Maranjab Desert is located north of Aran city and Bidgol, Isfahan province. Despite its harsh environment, Maranjab is still home to snakes, lizards, eagles and salt-loving plants. In the center of the desert is an island surrounded by salt.

Carpet Museum: According to Apochi, the weaving of carpets in Iran has its origins in the Bronze Age, around 5,000 BC.
