The horizontal building named The Crystal just opened in late May, belonging to the Raffles City Chongqing complex. This complex is located in the center of Chongqing city, at the confluence of the Yangtze and Gia Lang rivers.
The complex has 8 towers, of which 6 are 250 m high and two 350 m high, including residential areas, luxury apartments, offices, serviced apartments and hotels. The work was completed after 6 years of construction, with a cost of about 3

The steel structure that makes up this building weighs 12,000 tons, surrounded by 3,000 glass panels and nearly 5,000 aluminum panels
This 15,000-square-meter building features restaurants, bars, event space, clubs, infinity pool and hotel lobby.



Many may point out that the structure of this horizontal building resembles Singapore's Marina Bay Sands - in fact, The Crystal's architect Moshe Sadie, who designed the iconic building on the lion island nation. and the Jewel terminal of Changi Airport.
The glass and steel structure surrounding the building is like a concertina, allowing visitors to enjoy natural light, sweeping views and year-round garden views.
This place also has green space to create an "aerial garden", with nearly 120 wooden trees that can be up to 9 m high when fully mature.
The most prominent in the entertainment space on this building is the Exploration Deck, the tallest glass-bottomed observatory in western China, over 1,500 meters wide.
From here you can have a 270 degree view of the city of Chongqing, and just below is the confluence of the Yangtze River intersecting the Gia Lang River. Currently, one day, the observatory only sells 3,000 tickets, priced at about 25 USD per turn
The aisle in the building is designed as a tunnel leading into many other spaces.
