There Is No Tree Between The Forbidden City
According to the theory, the road to the Three Great Palace is not a tree, the mandarins only see the majestic palace, they will feel fear but loyal to the emperor.
There is no tree between the Forbidden City
The Forbidden City or the Palace is one of China's greatest legacies. The Palace is 720,000 m2 wide and is divided into 2 parts: Tien Trieu and harem. The Tam Dai Palace in the Tien Dynasty was the place where the emperor worked, accounting for 1/10 of the total area of the palace, and there was absolutely no tree. Although the solution for this is still unknown, the following generations have given out the following 4 hypotheses
Honor the majesty of the court
The pre-dynasty was where the emperor held rituals and exercised power. At the same time, this is also the place to show supremacy, the symbol of imperial power. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the emperor was considered the "angel" or son of heaven
In particular, when entering from the Tiananmen Gate, a large space without trees will create a solemn atmosphere. Therefore, the mandarins walking on this road, seeing only the tall roofs, will generate pressure and fear, to adore the emperor. In addition, the trees also attracted many birds and other animals, losing the dignity of the court.

In case of liking guests
The second reason not to plant trees in the three great temples is to eliminate hiding places for crooks and guests. In the 18th Giaqing year of the Qing Dynasty (1813), a group of rebels secretly attacked the Forbidden City through the East Huamen Gate and Xihua Mon Gate
Under the strict pursuit of the imperial soldiers, the rebels fled to Long Tongmen.
However, the gate here was closed, so the likes of the guests climbed up the surrounding big tree, cut branches and prepared to fire the guard station at this gate. Despite its failure, the rebel attack caused insecurity for Emperor Gia Khanh. Concerned that the big trees might become a hiding place for crooks, architects at that time did not plant trees around the Tam Dai Dien to prevent proper visitors from entering.
Fire precaution
Throughout the history of the Qing and Ming dynasties, three palaces in Tam Dai Dien continued to have a fire and had to change their names many times. Trees in the bow can absorb lightning, making the fire spread and making it harder to control during a fire. For this reason, there are also many large water tanks in the Forbidden City to put out the fire.
Today, there is an underground water sprinkler system and nearly 5,000 fire extinguishers in the Palace. In addition, there is a separate team of firefighters, who check the equipment every day and train along the steps of the wall to remember the way when the fire truck cannot enter.

Feng shui factors
In addition to the symmetry, the electrons are arranged along the south and north axes and the design follows the five elements yin and yang theory. During the Ming Dynasty, the Tam Dai Palace was located in the center, so it was considered the earth. However, if using yellow clay (yellow clay) to build electricity, it will cause flooding, mud and mud after the rains. Therefore, the architects designed 3 courtyards here to form a word "earth", representing the land in the center. According to the rules of the five elements, wood carving earth and can bring bad luck, Tam Dai Dien does not plant trees.
