Old Town is where you will find most of the famous tourist attractions in Krakow, including the largest square in Europe
To explore this historic center, you should take the Royal Road that starts north of Old Town, past the center and then south on Wawel Hill.
As its name suggests, this street is home to a lot of royal parades
There are many important landmarks on the road but the most notable are:
Florian Gate (Polish: Brama Floriańska)

Located north of Royal Road, this is one of Poland's most famous Gothic towers, once serving as the main entrance to the old town.
33.5m high, this is the only remaining of the eight original gates built in the Middle Ages. Seven other gates were removed during the modernization period of Krakow.

This 335 meter long road leads to Main Square and is one of the most popular streets in the city.
Today, this place has become a major tourist attraction
Main square (Polish: Rynek Główny)
This is the largest square in Europe with a total area of about 40,000 square meters. Some of the highlights here include:
Cloth Hall: This used to be a big international trade center with a bunch of exotic imports.
Today, this place is still a shopping center but mainly for small stalls selling jewelry and souvenirs.
If you want to see an exhibition of Polish paintings and sculptures, head upstairs and look for the Sukiennice Museum. Admission is around 4 USD and is open free on Sundays.

Town Hall: Built in the late 13th century, this is the only remaining part of the old town hall. It was demolished in 1820 when the city planned to build the Main Square.
Monument Adam Mickiewicz: This is the statue of Adam Mickiewicz - the greatest Polish romantic poet of the 19th century, and the most known bronze monument in Poland.

Notre Dame Cathedral Mary: An iconic Gothic structure in the main square, famous for its wooden altar carved by famed sculptor Veit Stoss and trumpet Hegnal mariacki.
This is a traditional Polish song, played by the artists every hour. Performances at noon are usually broadcast all over Poland via radio. You can enter the entrance for free.

Wawel Hill: This is a complex of buildings and sanctuaries on top of a limestone bank located on the Vistula River.
When Krakow was the capital of the Kingdom of Poland, Wawel was the official focus of the Polish monarchy. Here, there are three landmarks you must visit:
Wawel Church: This large church is a famous place for the coronation of Polish kings.
The church's underground caves contain Polish royal ruins through history and famous religious artists.
Next to the entrance is the bones of Smok Waweleski - the legendary dragon of Wawel Hill. In essence, these are fossil bones of whales or mammoths.
However, the Poles have a legend that this is a cactus and many visitors want to come here to see it with their own eyes.

Wawel Castle: This is where Polish kings usually reside, so the castle has become one of the most important historical monuments of the country.
Today, this place has been transformed into an art museum.

Wawel Dragon Statue: You will find several caves down the Wawel Hill. According to legend, this is where the evil dragon, Smok Wawelski, used to live.
The ticket price to visit is just under 1 USD.
It displays a bronze sculpture of the dragon Smok. This statue can spit fire.

The name Krakow of the city is also derived from this dragon. The story tells that since time immemorial, Smok often liked to eat lamb and the young girls in the village.
All young boys' attempts to kill Smok are unsuccessful, until a man named Krak seduces Smok to eat a sheep inside filled with sulfur.
When the dragon drank the water, its body exploded. Thanks to acting bravely, Krak was honored to marry the city's princess and later became king.
To celebrate his victory, he built a castle above the residence of the dragon Smok.
People started to build other buildings around. . Dịch vụ: Thiết kế website, quảng cáo google, đăng ký website bộ công thương uy tín
