Vietnamese Tourists Seek The Quiet Beauty Of Seoul

Instead of going to shopping malls, I have seen peaceful corners of the Korean capital when arriving at Nami Island, Nam San Mountain during the early winter.

When I arrived in Seoul, I was quickly caught up in the hustle and bustle of the Korean people, with quick steps on the street, the eyes fixed on the smartphone.
To separate from the rush of people, I chose a small roadside restaurant. In this city, you can easily find shops selling traditional household food. Those are the shops that sell noodles, grilled meat or ginseng chicken

. Push the door in and you will see a difference: it is cold on the outside - warm on the inside, noisy outside - incredibly quiet inside. Korean people are friendly but not good at English, so I choose food by showing pictures, since the name of the dish is also written in Korean. It is cold noodles with beef, kimchi, radish served with eggs and some shaved ice When I saw shaved ice in a bowl of noodles, I thought of a bowl of beef noodle soup with broth, but with ice being eaten like a sweet tea.



The similarly cold noodles made me struggle the first time because it didn't taste good. But for me, this is an enjoyable experience.
In the midst of a modern city, Koreans still retain the gem of architectural heritage: Cung Canh Phuc. Where the king dwells with the carefully preserved "angel" throne, behind is the space where the king and concubine live.
Surrounding the palace is a royal garden, sand-calming with rows of trees, streams, and a flat lake surface in contrast to the noise outside the walls of Seoul. The palace space became a place where locals as well as visitors sat peacefully thinking about a glorious dynasty that once existed.
With the number of Vietnamese tourists constantly increasing over the years, coming to Canh Phuc Palace, visitors can be assured because the guide sheets are printed in Vietnamese
The famous mountain in Seoul is named Nam Son (Namsan), located in the heart of the city.



Standing on top of Nam Son, one will have a panoramic view of a global city: overhanging high-rise buildings with crowded cars. Nam Son also has a walking path from the foot of the mountain up for those who want to leisurely walk under the changing seasons.
I walked to Nam Son's foot and looked up with curious eyes. What's up there? After squeezing the group of tourists in the cable car cabin, a splendid Seoul appeared. On the walls running along the play area at the top, each row of keychains is locked tightly together with the long-term desire of couples.
Seoul also has many stops from bustling shopping areas like Myeong-dong or Gangnam. Alternatively you can go to Nami Island, which is more than an hour away by train. This is also the place chosen as the setting for many famous Asian films such as Winter Sonata.




With Nami Island, because of going in the late autumn and early winter when the trees are bare, I have missed the beauty of this place. However, I still have admiration for the way Korean people travel. They know how to promote and exploit services to turn places like Nam Son or Nami into magnet attracting customers.
Sitting and sipping grilled corn on Nami Island amidst the frozen sky, as well as looking at the key chains on the top of Nam Son, I think about the future, when home travel takes off.
