Visit a museum
One of the richest merchants in Matsumoto City is Sakai Yoshiaki

. With his enormous money, he started collecting works of art and woodblock prints.

You can go from Matsumoto Dentetsu Kamikochi Line, get off at Oniwa station then walk 15 to 20 minutes to reach the museum.
Another interesting museum you should visit is the Museum of Art. It displays the artwork of one of the world famous artists, Yayoi Kusama because Matsumoto City is where she was born.
Admission is 410 yen for adults (about 83,000 VND), and is open from 9am to 5pm. From Matsumoto Station, it takes about 12 minutes to walk to the museum.
