.The statistics of major fascioliasis cases in the first 12 months of 2006 were 4,094 people, distributed in 231 districts of 45 provinces and cities nationwide. The province with the largest number of patients with fascioliasis is Binh Dinh with 1513 people in 13 districts; Quang Ngai 917 people in 18 districts, Gia Lai 548 people in 16 districts.
